As many as 41% of Polish internet users use AdBlock technology, which blocks Google Analytics from counting visits, thereby reducing the reported number of sessions and page views (source: Statista). In addition, EU directives introduced in 2024 allow website users to refuse cookie-based tracking of their activity, which further reduces Google Analytics statistics. These users are present on the website and actively browse its content, but Google Analytics does not register their visits. The mandatory Consent Mode implemented this year reduces the number of visible users by an additional 15–20%. As a result, the differences between the data available in Google Analytics and the website’s CMS reach approximately 53%.
